πŸ“– My 8x ROAS Creative Creation Playbook [& a small ask]

If you read my 6 principles to Consistently launch profitable FB Ad Campaigns

Then you know that a stellar creative is key to getting a profitable ROAS.

But before I let you in on this playbook that I've kept a secret, until now...

I have to thank you.

This is the largest this newsletter's subscribers list has been, growing over 200% this week!

I'm so grateful to watch this newsletter already begin to grow,

But I do have one small ask...

I recently launched my first & limited consultation offer!

All I ask is that if you know someone you think might benefit from a consultation to help scale their ROAS w/ Facebook ads & 10x their customer LTV,

Share this link with them so they can book a meeting while slots last! (4 out of 16 slots have already been filled!)

Now let's get into what you actually want...

My 8x ROAS Creative Creation Playbook

After working with 2 different advertising agencies in hopes to gain experience & learn about how to launch & run high ROAS advertising campaigns,

Which ended up in me only learning about how corrupt agencies can be...

I started running my own ads, and after testing hundreds of custom audiences and targeting strategies, nothing was getting me the results I was looking for.

I interviewed a business owner who had managed his own Facebook ads for over 7 years now, and he asked,

"How often are you testing new creatives".

Long story short I embarrassed myself since I didn't even know that people regularly tested new ad creatives, and I had only used one the entire time.

(I didn't even upload resized versions for different placements!)

I'm glad I embarrassed myself, because he gave me the blueprint for what now is my playbook for making creatives that get my clients an 8x ROAS, or more!

Follow these steps to consistently make creatives that will rocket-launch your ROAS!

1. Do customer research!

I've said it before & I'll say it again.

Just as the creative should be 80% of the work to launch your campaign,

Customer research should be 80% of making the creative.

Imagine selling something to a stranger face-to-face,

With zero idea if they are interested in what your selling, or why they could potentially want it.

Impossible, I know.

So don't do that with your Facebook ads (especially since you pay for them!)

2. Know which media formats to use

Video ads,

Static ads,

Carousel ads??

"Which do I run?"

I felt the exact same way when I first started.

I found out it does really matter. (sort of)

A good creative that effectively encourages and incentivizes them to click will work, no matter the format.

However, certain media formats tend to work better for specific audiences.

Video ads: better for cold audiences, introduce your brand well, easier to retain attention without brand recognition & give them a reason to click

Static ads: better for retargeted audiences, "objection-handler", encourage them to revisit your site & purchase

Carousel Ads: better for repeat customers, show products that they recognize or are new, well acquainted with your brand, more primed to buy again

3. Copywriting that isn't a waste of words

It should go without saying that the copy in your creative needs to be on point to get clicks & conversions.

But there are some frameworks to follow, which are unique to Facebook ads.

  1. Emoji bullet points: digestible way to deliver information + emojis are super eye-catching
  2. 3 main benefits: Facebook ad copy should not be super long form, more than 3 would lower retention, less would more difficult to incentivize a click
  3. Avoid use of OVERLY LOUD WORDS!!!: all caps & over use of exclamation marks are against Facebooks Grammar & Profanity policy, and will cause your ad to be taken down

4. Always be testing

Don't be like the Levi in the beginning of this email who was running one creative across ALL his campaigns.

(Unless you like burning money)

Testing regularly is key if you want to stay successful with Facebook ads in the long run.

Typically I will allocate 10-15% of my total ad spend, exclusively on testing.

Variables to test:

  • Colors: color psychology can drastically change the results you get
  • Hooks: a strong hook is key to retaining attention from as many people possible
  • Price format: $100/year for a service can sound expensive, but 27Β’ a day... not so much.
  • Images: certain images, or videos, used in your ad could really stand out or speak to your audience, while the one you thought would stand out is totally scrollable to them. Testing is the only way to know for sure.

There are a number of other factors you can test with your creative (since you could literally change anything!),

& that could take weeks to write out.

If your not sure, test it.

If your confident, test it.

& even if you think it's stupid, test it.

This is my exact playbook for testing creatives which have gotten campaigns to:

3x ROAS,

8x ROAS,

Even 25x ROAS!

(Yes, 25x. I have a free guide which will be given out on my X page THIS WEEK! Keep an eye out for that!)

Start following this framework for your next round of creative testing (or first if you didn't realize how much testing you needed to do),

And let me know what kind of results you get!

What did you find most valuable? Shoot me a DM on X & let me know!

Keep growing, keep scaling!
